The German Foreign Ministry announced new entry bans on Georgian officials responsible for the crackdown on protesters, as demonstrations in Georgia continue for over three months.
In a statement released on social media, the ministry expressed concern over the situation, emphasizing that Georgian citizens have been protesting in favor of a European future while facing intimidation, arrests, and violence.
“For nearly three months, the people of Georgia have been protesting in favour of a future in the EU & against the course of the Georgian leadership. They continue to face intimidation, arrests & violence. Today, Germany imposed further entry bans on Georgian officials responsible for the crackdown,” the statement reads.
