Germany prepared to provide long-term assistance to Ukraine – Baerbock

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said on Sunday that If necessary, Germany would be ready to support Ukraine in its war against Russia for many years,including with heavy weapons.

“Of course I would like the war to end as soon as possible,but unfortunately  we have to assume that Ukraine may need more heavy weapons from their friends next summer”, said Baerbock.

Minister also stated “Ukraine protects our freedom and our peaceful order,” and that Germany would provide funds and military assistance to Ukraine for as long as it’s required.

The German government reported that in 2022 Germany has increased its fund for security building for 2 billions, which has been primarily dedicated to Ukraine.
