Germany will allocate an additional $200 million to support Ukraine’s purchase of US-made weapons, Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul announced on Wednesday ahead of the NATO Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Brussels .

Wadephul said Berlin had already spent $500 million in October on procuring essential weaponry for Kyiv. The new funding will be provided through a mechanism established under an agreement between NATO and US President Donald Trump, which allows allied nations to purchase critical American-made arms for Ukraine.

In addition to the weapons funding, the Foreign Minister said Germany would transfer a further €25 million to a NATO trust fund. The contribution is intended to ensure that Ukrainian troops on the front line receive necessary equipment and medical support.
