Romania’s Foreign Ministry criticizes Georgian Gov’t for suspension of EU accession process

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania expressed deep disappointment regarding the inaccurate portrayal of internal discussions at the EU level, following recent developments in Georgia. In a statement shared on social media, Romania reiterated its strong concerns over the Georgian government’s decision to halt the EU accession dialogue.

The Romanian Ministry also condemned the violent repression of peaceful protests in Georgia, describing the actions as a violation of the rights of the Georgian people.

”Deeply disappointed about the choice of presenting inaccurately internal discussions at the EU level. We use this opportunity to reiterate our strong concern about the Georgian Gov’s decision on EU accession dialogue and the violent repression of Georgian’s legitimate protests,” the statement on X reads.
