The United National Movement (UNM) has accused the ruling Georgian Dream party of internal discord and corruption, claiming that its founder, billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili, was focused on recovering lost wealth rather than addressing public concerns.

Speaking to media on Tuesday, UNM’s regional secretary Giorgi Botkoveli said that recent remarks by the party’s official, Levan Khabeishvili, served less as formal statements and more as signals that information was being leaked from within Georgian Dream.

"Levan Khabeishvili is not even making real announcements - he just hints, and you see everything coming out, revealing that Georgian Dream members are turning on each other," Botkoveli said.

He further alleged that Ivanishvili was now preoccupied with reclaiming money that he claimed was previously embezzled and diverted by political allies.

“Right now, Ivanishvili is busy trying to take back money that was stolen and carried away. Their main concern is not the people, but how to steal millions. Ivanishvili is the mastermind behind it all, stealing the most. But now something’s missing from his 'safe', and he’s trying to refill it,” said Botkoveli.
