Court sets $7,380 bail for doctor Chakhunashvili

The court has set a bail of ₾20,000 ($7,380) for detained doctor Giorgi Chakhunashvili as a preventive measure.

Chakhunashvili was detained in connection with the events that took place in Tbilisi on October 4. The academician will be released from custody upon payment of the bail amount.

In the same hearing, the court ordered pre-trial detention for Giorgi Muladze, who was also arrested in connection with the October 4 protest.

Both Chakhunashvili and Muladze were detained on Thursday.
