Giorgi Chakvetadze, the head of the ruling Georgian Dream Youth Organization, has shared a video on social media showing a confrontation between activists from opposition For Georgia and members of the Georgian Dream youth wing on Amagleba Street in Tbilisi.

Chakvetadze claims that the video reveals what truly happened during the altercation, accusing the For Georgia supporters of editing their footage to mislead the public. He also criticized opposition-affiliated TV channels for quickly spreading the edited video.

“What really happened, and what the ‘Gakharia supporters’ tried to hide in their video, which was broadcast by pro-opposition channels within minutes of the incident. According to the traitor Gakharia, he has no connection to the United National Movement, yet they spread these chopped-up videos and illegally run ads on their TV stations,” Chakvetadze wrote on social media, slamming the leader of For Georgia party – Giorgi Gakharia.

Earlier on Wednesday evening For Georgia released a video depicting some individuals attacking their party members during an election campaign. The party claims that the attackers are affiliated with the ruling party activist group.
