Giorgi Gakharia, leader of the For Georgia party and former Prime Minister, has claimed that the recent attack against him in Batumi was a premeditated act of political revenge orchestrated by a ruling party founder and leader, billionaire Bidzina Ivanishvili.

In a statement released on social media, Gakharia thanked supporters and announced his return to work, stating, January 15 attack was ”pre-arranged, an ambush, and politically motivated. The mastermind behind this is Bidzina Ivanishvili.” He also accused Ivanishvili of threatening him and his family for years, both privately and publicly.

Gakharia emphasized that he is unconcerned with the identities of those who carried out the assault, focusing instead on the individual he alleges ordered it. “This is not just about an attack on me but also about orchestrated violence against citizens,” he wrote.
