Giorgi Gamsakhurdia on Thursday condemned the murder of conservative publicist Charlie Kirk, writing on social media that it is “complete madness” to rejoice in someone’s death.
In his post, Gamsakhurdia reflected on his own challenging life experiences, stating that despite hardships, he had never felt joy at the misfortune of his enemies. He emphasised the shocking nature of celebrating violence and murder, asking: "Where did you grow up, what is wrong with you, what has evil and hatred made of you, do you see?"
Gamsakhurdia stressed that even when facing opponents or people with differing opinions, he has never taken pleasure in their suffering. He called the murder of Kirk an appalling act, highlighting the dangers of human malevolence and hatred.
