The Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, Giorgi Jinchiradze, has congratulated students across Georgia on passing the nationwide university entrance exams, with a special message for those from the Russia-occupied Abkhazia region.

Writing on social media on Tuesday, Jinchiradze said the achievement marked the beginning of a new chapter for an entire generation, praising students’ hard work and dedication.

He highlighted the perseverance of young people from Abkhazia, saying their success proved that “checkpoints and barbed wire can never block the road to education.”

“Their success is our shared victory. It is a sign of hope that an educated generation will one day restore the country’s territorial integrity and strengthen our nation,” he wrote.
