Abkhazia Government head meets Bulgarian ambassador to Georgia

Jincharadze thanked Bulgaria for its support for Georgia’s territorial integrity

The head of the government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia, Giorgi Jincharadze, has held talks with Vesselin Valkanov, the ambassador of Bulgaria to Georgia.
During the meeting, Jincharadze outlined the activities of the Abkhaz government and briefed the ambassador on the main challenges facing people displaced from currently Russian-controlled Abkhazia.
He also discussed the situation in the Russian-controlled territory, highlighting alleged violations of fundamental human rights there.
The sides also exchanged views on the ongoing Geneva International Discussions, the diplomatic format addressing security and humanitarian issues following the 2008 war.
According to the Abkhaz government, the meeting also explored opportunities to deepen future cooperation in several priority areas.
Jincharadze thanked Bulgaria for its support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and for assistance provided to people displaced from Abkhazia.
