Chair of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia Giorgi Jincharadze, on Sunday congratulated Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II on his birthday, highlighting the Patriarch’s spiritual guidance and support for all Georgians.

In a message shared on social media, Jincharadze said, “Your prayers, wisdom, and paternal care give special hope to every Georgian, including our compatriots living beyond the occupation line.”

Addressing the Patriarch, Jincharadze added, “Your historical contribution to the restoration of the Apostolic Autocephalous Church of Georgia, the spiritual revival of our nation, and the strengthening of Georgian statehood is immeasurable. Your decades of service remain a firm pillar of Georgia’s unity, the spiritual resilience of the Abkhazian community, and our country’s indivisibility.”

He further noted, “As the spiritual father of our nation, you provide the highest example of virtue, tolerance, and humility. Your prayers, wisdom, and paternal care instill special hope in every Georgian, including our compatriots living beyond the occupation line. We wish you health, spiritual strength, and longevity. May the power of your prayers and God’s grace continue to protect all of Georgia for many years to come.”
