AC Milan’s official football camp, Milan Junior Camp, on Monday began in the Georgian capital city of Tbilisi for the first time, offering young players an opportunity to train under the club’s coaches.

Giorgi Pophkhadze, co-founder of Sports Corporation and organiser of the project, called the event “a great honour” and highlighted its value for children aged 6 to 15. Participants will undergo one-and-a-half-hour intensive daily sessions following Milan’s official methodology, focusing on football skills, teamwork, personal growth, and fun.

The camp takes place at a modern sports complex in Vake, Nutsubidze Plateau, and features the participation of Milan Academy coordinators, who also held workshops for local coaches to introduce the club’s training methods.

Pophkhadze expressed hope that the Milan Junior Camp would become an annual tradition in Georgia, helping young footballers develop their skills and gain international experience. The Italian Embassy, Tbilisi City Hall, and the Georgian Football Federation are supporting the initiative.

This project is part of AC Milan’s global development strategy and follows the success of the 2024 Legends Match in Georgia, aiming to foster local football talent while sharing the club’s values and expertise.
