Giorgi Rurua, co-owner of the Georgian television channel Mtavari Arkhi, has been summoned for questioning by the State Security Service. Rurua shared this information along with a photo of the official summons on his Facebook page.

“I received a notification from the State Security Service. A case has been opened, and the investigation is ongoing under two charges: state overthrow and violent seizure of power. They have clearly mixed up the address. The state overthrow and coup were carried out by the Russian Dream party, under the leadership of one man,” Rurua stated, referring to the founder and leader of the ruling Georgian Dream party, Bidzina Ivanishvili.

“This is a circus. As my favorite saying goes, Georgia will be a European, not a Russian country,” he added.
