Giorgi Vashadze, the leader of the United National Movement, announced at a Monday rally that the opposition is demanding the scheduling of new elections, rejecting the legitimacy of the current parliament and the recent elections.

“We have initiated a movement of resistance and are establishing a front of resistance, starting in Tbilisi and then spreading throughout Georgia,” he stated.

Vashadze outlined their demands, which include: first, the call for new elections; second, the rejection of the recent elections and the parliament’s legitimacy; and third, the establishment of a resistance movement across the country.

He emphasized that each subsequent protest will be increasingly intense and focused on specific goals. “We are continuing to gather evidence and collect all documentation for a comprehensive international investigation to ensure that those responsible for stealing the people’s choice are held accountable,” he added.

“We urge everyone to come together and participate in the march for resistance tomorrow at 2 PM from the Sports Palace,” Vashadze concluded.
