Girchi – More Freedom, Droa opposition announce unity for elections

The Girchi- More Freedom and Droa opposition parties on Wednesday announced unity for the forthcoming Parliamentary elections next year, publishing a joint image video recorded at the country’s State Security Service. 

 

At the beginning of the video, party leaders Zurab Japaridze and Elene Khoshtaria can be seen bringing a sofa to the building of the agency, with their supporters gradually joining them. 

 

The video included footage from various protests with the participation of the members of the parties. 

 

The message of the video said Girchi and Droa – a normal choice, adding they had been united due to a common stance of  “zero cooperation with the Russian regime, a clear vision of the future, motivation to replace the Soviet one-party system with a modern, Western-type coalition government and we create a normal choice for the citizens of Georgia”.
