The two sides discussed potential student exchange programmes and the organisation of youth camps

Georgia’s Minister of Education, Science and Youth Affairs, Givi Mikanadze, has met Austria’s Deputy Minister for Youth, Bernadette Humer, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation.

The meeting focused on opportunities to deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries in education, science and youth policy, as well as on the implementation of joint initiatives, the ministry press office said on Wednesday.

Mikanadze briefed his Austrian counterpart on ongoing reforms in Georgia’s education system. The talks also covered recent initiatives aimed at developing youth policy and improving support services for young people.

The two sides discussed potential student exchange programmes and the organisation of youth camps.

At the end of the meeting, Humer positively assessed Georgia’s ongoing reforms and expressed readiness to further expand cooperation, the ministry said.
