Georgian Minister of Education Givi Mikanadze and Austrian Ambassador Robert Gerschner on Friday discussed opportunities to deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries in education, science and youth, as well as the implementation of joint educational initiatives.

The Ministry’s press office said during the meeting, Mikanadze provided Gerschner with information about the large-scale reforms currently under way in Georgia’s education system.

Particular attention was given to a joint youth initiative between the two countries, which envisages organising two-week summer camps for Georgian and Austrian young people in both countries.

At the end of the meeting, the sides expressed readiness to further strengthen future cooperation.
