Georgian Education Minister discusses cooperation with Peking University administration

Georgian Minister of Education Givi Mikanadze, together with a delegation, visited Peking University and held talks with representatives of the university’s administration, the Ministry’s press service said on Saturday.
The delegation was hosted by the Chair of the University Council, He Guangcai, who presented an overview of the institution’s activities and provided detailed information on its academic, research and international programmes.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed prospects for deepening cooperation between higher education institutions in Georgia and China. The talks focused on expanding student and academic staff exchange programmes, implementing joint educational and scientific projects and strengthening international links among young people.
Mikanadze emphasised the importance of the existing partnership between Georgia and China in education. He said cooperation with Peking University would provide Georgian students with unique opportunities to gain valuable knowledge and experience, develop professional skills and build important international connections to support their future careers.
As part of the visit, the Minister and members of the delegation toured the university campus and were introduced to its learning environment and infrastructure.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed readiness to expand cooperation further, agreed to continue active engagement and planned future meetings.
