Georgian Minister of Education Givi Mikanadze and Saudi Ambassador Salman bin Abdulrahman Al Al-Sheikh on Friday highlighted the importance of friendly relations between the two countries and discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in education, science and youth.

The discussion focused on the implementation of joint educational and scientific projects, including support for the development of exchange programmes for students and researchers. The sides also considered strengthening scientific partnerships and promoting direct ties between higher education institutions and research centres.

For his part, the Ambassador expressed readiness to further expand cooperation in the implementation of joint projects.
