Georgian Education Minister Givi Mikanadze and Tajik Minister of Education and Science Rahim Saidzoda discussed expanding bilateral cooperation in education, science and youth affairs during a meeting held in Tajikistan, the Georgian Education Ministry said on Saturday.
The Ministry said the talks focused on strengthening ties between the two countries' education systems and advancing cooperation in academic and scientific fields.
Mikanadze briefed his counterpart on ongoing reforms in Georgia’s education sector and outlined planned initiatives aimed at further developing the system.
The ministers also discussed the prospect of signing a cooperation agreement in education and science, which they said would create new opportunities for sharing experience across different levels of education and strengthening academic links between educational institutions in Georgia and Tajikistan.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides expressed readiness to implement joint educational and scientific projects as part of their future cooperation, according to the Ministry.
