Georgia, Uzbekistan to deepen cooperation in education – ministers discuss joint initiatives

Georgian Minister of Education Givi Mikanadze and his Uzbek counterpart Ezozkhon Karimova on Sunday discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the education sector.

During the meeting Mikanadze emphasised the long-standing partnership between Georgia and Uzbekistan, noting the importance of sharing experiences and best practices between the two countries. He added that the signing of a bilateral agreement with Uzbekistan would further support this collaboration.

The discussion particularly focused on enhancing STEM education in schools and integrating modern technologies into the teaching and learning process.

The ministers also discussed the creation of a joint working group that will regularly coordinate efforts to implement joint educational initiatives between the two countries.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation and outlined plans for future projects.
