Givi Mikanadze, an MP of the ruling Georgian Dream party, claimed on Thursday Ermile Gigiadze, a party member in the country’s western Tskaltubo region, died after a verbal altercation with a representative of the United National Movement opposition representative near the party office.

Mikanadze identified Roland Nutsubidze, a member of the UNM, as the person who allegedly insulted Gigiadze, stating that this incident reflected what he called the “fascist policies” of the opposition party. He further accused the UNM of continuing to engage in such actions.

“Yesterday, in Tskaltubo, the representative of the UNM Roland Nutsubidze, rushed to our party office and repeatedly insulted Ermile Gigiadze, which led to his death from nervousness. This incident once again highlights the fascist policies the UNM has pursued and continues to employ with its usual methods,” Mikanadze claimed.
