The Georgian government on Monday announced it would cover all expenses for the treatment of children suffering cancer both inside and outside the country, allocating 30 million GEL for the goal.

“According to our decision, 300 oncology patients, children, will be fully financed by the state. We have already selected some of the best clinics in the world where these children will be treated. I would also like to say that the budget will allocate up  to 30 million GEL and we will fully cover all expenses, be it treatment, living,  travel expenses”, PM Irakli Garibashvili said.  He noted “unfortunately, in Georgia today, not all the conditions have been created for children with oncological diseases to receive complete and, most importantly, quality, high-standard services”.
