The Georgian government has decided to cancel green Covid passports which came into effect on December 1 and obliged individuals to present it to have access to food facilities, theaters, cinemas and other locations.

The government and health officials also stated that the new variant is not as dangerous as other strains of the virus, and that fewer people need to be hospitalized.
Despite the seizure of the obligation, head of Georgia’s National Centre for Disease Control Amiran Gamkrelidze has called on the business to maintain the regulation.
Georgia has reported more than 24,000 cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours while 164,572 remain infected with coronavirus.
Fully vaccinated individuals, those who had recovered from the virus,as well as the individuals who presented negative PCR or rapid test results had green passes.
