Gov’t decreases terms for a coronavirus booster dose

The Georgian Health Ministry has allowed the booster dose against coronavirus after five months from the second shot instead of existing six months. 

 

Furthermore, individuals fully vaccinated with Chinese Sinopharm or Sinovac vaccines can get their booster shot at least three months after their second shot.

 

Georgia allowed booster shots starting November. 

 

The countryhas reported 4,509 new cases of coronavirus, 4,042 recoveries and 59 deaths in the past 24 hours.

 

Overall 45,216 remain infected with Covid-19 in Georgia.

 

1,205,262 individuals have got at least one dose of the vaccine in the country since March 2021, while 1,023,779 people have been fully vaccinated.
