The Georgian government has decreased terms for coronavirus isolation.

The changes, which are as follows, will come into play starting Monday:

Individuals having a mild form of the virus or have no symptoms will have to be in self-isolation for eight days instead of 13.

At least 24 hours must be spent from recovery to go out.

The individuals must wear facemasks in the following five days.

The individuals suffering from a not-mild and serious forms of the virus will have to stay in self-isolation for 10 days.

The terms for isolation for the individuals who had contact with an infected person also decreased.

The individuals who were in contact with an infected person and are fully vaccinated, as well as those with a booster dose, will not have to be isolated if they received their second dose of the vaccine over the past 14-90 days.

The individuals who earlier had Covid, had to spend 10 days in isolation after having contact with an infected individual and must  wear a facemask for 60 days.

Non-vaccinated individuals must be self-isolated for eight days and must wear a facemask for the next 10-12 days.
