The current Georgian Dream authorities are inciting anti-Western campaign to preserve power, Sergi Kapanadze, a founder of Georgia’s Reforms Associates, former deputy foreign minister, told Front News on Tuesday.

“The intensification of the anti-Western propaganda by the Government and its affiliated forces has a very simple explanation – they know that the European Union conditions for Georgia’s membership candidate status will not be met. They also know that every unfulfilled condition will be followed by a very severe reaction”, Kapanadze said.

He noted that the authorities “anti-Western” moves were “very dangerous” as they posed threats to Georgia’s interests and its Euro-Atlatic goals.
