Gov’t may decrease isolation time for asymptomatic Covid patients

The Georgian government may decrease an isolation time from eight days to five days for asymptomatic coronavirus patients. 

The government is scheduled to discuss the issue this week, deputy health minister Tamar Gabunia has stated.The asymptomatic patients may be able to leave homes after five days if test negative. 

Gabunia stated that of more than 200,000 coronavirus patients only 6,100 are undergoing treatment in hospitals. The majority of  daily cases, which range between 20,000-24,000 in Georgia, are Omicron.
