The Georgian Ministry of Finance announced a 10 percent increase in the salaries of public servants by 10 percent annually until 2026.

Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili  said Monday that last year, the law on the state budget of 2022 defined certain principles on how to regulate the part of the salary in public services.

He suggested that the Government of Georgia was instructed to submit a bill to the Parliament of Georgia, according to which salaries in public services should be adjusted.

Khutsishvili stated that starting January 1, 2026, the basic official salary should be determined by the percentage of the average salary increase in the non-state sector during the last four quarters.

He also said that starting from 2026, the basic official salary should be determined so that the average salary in the state sector is not less than 80 percent and more than 90 percent of the average salary in the non-state sector.
