The Interior and Health Ministries will allocate 100,000 GEL for each family of eight victims in the Gudauri helicopter crash last Friday, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said Monday.
The helicopter had been carrying crew and rescuers of the Emergency Management Service and first aid responders called to assist paragliders.
There were four crew members onboard, two rescuers from the Emergency Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and two medics.
The Interior Ministry dismissed media reports on Monday that a technical fault could have caused the crash, claiming that the Mi-8 helicopter was maintained and permanently checked.
Police are looking into the incident.
