The Georgian Young Lawyers’ Association (GYLA) NGO has written a complaint and says that the founder of the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party Bidzina Ivanishvili violated election rules when he appeared in Mtatsminda No.4 polling station with his guards earlier today to cast his ballot in municipal election run-offs.

The NGO says that individuals must not appear in polling stations to vote with the people who are not eligible to vote.

The Georgian Central Election Commission says that they will discuss the complaint.

Ivanishvili founded the Georgian Dream coalition ahead of October 2012 parliamentary elections and by winning the race the GD ended the nine-year rule of the United National Movement. He entered and left Georgian politics twice.

The last time he left Georgian politics was earlier this year.
