Hackers of the Russian special services attacked the government resources of Ukraine

Cyber ​​specialists of the Security Service of Ukraine blocked a large-scale cyberattack by hackers controlled by the FSB of the Russian Federation on government resources of Ukraine.

According to the press center of the SBU, due to the actions of the hacker group "Armageddon", the curators from the aggressor country could get access to the secret data of the highest bodies of state power of Ukraine.

"Thanks to the prompt response of the SBU, it was possible to neutralize the consequences and eliminate the prerequisites for the potential unauthorized access of the Russian special services to state information resources," the message says.

The government authorities were informed about the identified cyber threats through the MISP-UA platform. On this platform, the SBU Cyber ​​Security Situation Center has placed relevant cyber threat indicators; recommendations on measures to identify and prevent the facts of unauthorized interference; malware search tools.

The SBU has carried out large-scale measures to localize the cyberattack of the Russian special services. “At present, the Security Council of Ukraine, together with the Department of Supervision of Criminal Proceedings in relation to crimes committed in the context of an armed conflict, the Office of the Prosecutor General is taking all the necessary measures to record numerous cyberattacks by foreign special services. Law enforcers carry out effective investigation of cyber incidents to identify all those involved and bring them to criminal responsibility, ”the message says.
