Health Ministry announces devices for measuring blood glucose in children with type one diabetes

The Georgian Health Ministry on Wednesday announced the delivery of special devices for measuring blood glucose to children diagnosed with type one diabetes, allowing the reception of data without stinging, following the demands of the children suffering the disease.
The body said the Guardian 4 devices have been issued to adults aged 7-18, and Guardian 3 sensors continue to be issued to children under the age of 7.
The Ministry of Health will provide the category of children with diabetes one with free mobile phones that can receive the data.
“The mobile phones will be provided to socially disadvantaged children diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, whose family rating score does not exceed 120,000, as well as families in which there are two or more beneficiaries under the age of 18 with diabetes,” the body said.
