Holy fire descended in Jerusalem

The blessed fire descended in the Kuvukliya of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem.
The Holy Fire in translation from Greek means Holy Light. This is the name of the fire in the Easter ceremony of taking out lighted candles from the Holy Sepulcher (kuvukliya).
This fire symbolizes the miraculous light of the Resurrection of Christ. And the removal of the Holy Fire in Jerusalem personifies the exit from the Tomb of the "True Light" – the risen Savior Jesus Christ. His appearance on the eve of Easter through the prayers of the patriarch, clergy and pilgrims is considered "a miracle of the descent of the Holy Fire."
The Holy Fire ceremony this year was open to a much larger number of believers. This year 2,500 believers who fit into the "green standard" were able to participate in the ceremony inside the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.
