Human Rights Watch has accused Russian military forces of ‘apparent war crimes’ against Ukrainian civilians on Sunday.

The organisation documented a case of repeated rape, two cases of summary execution, and cases of unlawful violence and threat in Kyiv regions and occupied areas of Kharkiv and Chernihiv in Ukraine.

“The cases we documented amount to unspeakable, deliberate cruelty and violence against Ukrainian civilians,” said Hugh Williamson, the Human Rights Watch Director in Europe and Central Asia.

Human Rights Watch documented war crimes by interviewing witnesses, victims and residents of Russian-occupied territories in Ukraine.
