Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili says he is ready to attend a meeting with the opposition.

Gharibashvili stated this in response to the initiative of the President of the European Council Charles Michel regarding the meeting between the Georgian government and the opposition.

"I would like to respond to the brilliant initiative voiced by Mr. President regarding a possible meeting between me and the opposition. I would like to reaffirm publicly that I am ready to attend and participate in this meeting. I want to reaffirm our readiness on behalf of our team, so to speak. "Concrete steps should be taken for de-escalation and real constructive dialogue," – Irakli Gharibashvili said.

Charles Michel came up with the initiative to hold a meeting between the opposition and the government today.
