“I invite everyone to meet tonight, it is time for political dialogue”

"I invite everyone to meet me tonight. It is time to move from facilitation to mediation, it is time for political dialogue," – European Council President Charles Michel said at a press conference with the Prime Minister of Georgia.

He said he called on all parties to de-escalate and join forces for political dialogue.

"I am very worried about the deepening political crisis that exists in Georgia. Georgia has gained democracy and achievements over the years. The polarization and the crisis during your term as Prime Minister, the efforts of your colleagues and the efforts of the opposition leaders must be corrected, the polarization must end. The government of any country must show leadership qualities, as well as face the challenges and act in the interests of Georgia.
