According to the Deputy Minister of Health Tamar Gabunia, the process of vaccination against coronavirus in Georgia will start at the end of March.

"I think from the end of March we can actually start vaccinating Astrazeneka with the vaccine. Maybe Pfizer will be there before that. It will be expanded in April because we are expecting additional doses," – said Tamar Gabunia.

According to Gabunia, the Center for Disease Control will pay for the first dose of Astrazeneca by the end of the week, which will gradually enter the country.

According to her, Georgia buys Astrazeneca vaccine through UNICEF mechanism.
