The expert Ihor Potrenko blames Russia for acting absolutely cynically and cheeky for charging troops at the border of Ukraine and spreading misinformation

He made a statement on his official Facebook page:

"Exacerbation in the East can't help but cause concern. In the first week of April we already have 7 dead of our defenders. Russia continues to act absolutely cynically and cheeky – charges troops at the borders of Ukraine, spreads misinformation about the alleged murdered children by Ukrainian fighters, lies to the West that Ukraine deals with provocations (fortunately they do not believe it and know the price of Russian words) and continues to insist on that, that Donbass will return to Ukraine on terms of the Minsk agreements, and under other conditions threatens that it will become de facto Russian territory. It is unlikely that such actions of Russia surprise anyone.

That's only with all the Russian Federation forgets that the first point of the Minsk agreements, a prerequisite for everything else was recorded an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire. And that all Putin's efforts to translate responsibility into Ukraine undergo a fiasco, because we fully open to international observers and Western partners who at any moment can make sure that we never go to provocations, but only answer to protect the lives of our military. It is obvious that the desire of the Russian Federation can calmly provide an overarching ceasefire, because it is in its hands that the so-called ′′ L / DPR ′′ and their minions are in its hands. Foreign Ministers of the G7 countries and EU representative Joseph Borrel clearly point out that ′′ Russia is a side of the conflict in eastern Ukraine, not an intermediary ". Besides the Minsk agreements of the Russian Federation, it does not fully comply with any of the other agreements that were reached in particular in Paris summit at the end of 2019

In view of the current position of the world community, the Russian Federation's effort to translate responsibility for what is happening in Donbass to Ukraine. Ukraine clearly recorded before the whole world that it has no intention and desire to expand combat and provoke military exacerbation. In the situation of asymmetric conflict, the President consistently stands in positions of political and diplomatic solving the problem of war and achieving the long-awaited peace. Even yesterday at an urgent meeting of the TCG Russia failed to sign a joint statement on the readiness and need to observe ceasefire and fulfill July agreements last year. Before that, the Russian Federation actually broke off negotiations on the ′′ cluster ′′ approach to the implementation of the Minsk agreements initiated by representatives of France, Germany, as well as Andrei Ermak from the side of Ukraine. This approach could give a new life to the Minsk agreements, but as we see, Russia does not need it, it is satisfied with the ′′ hot ′′ status quo.

Everything that Russia does now is incapable of working against Ukraine. First of all, no one believes Russia anymore, although the expectations for the implementation of the agreements still remain. Secondly, the fighting ability of the Ukrainian army is currently at a high level, definitely greater than it was at the beginning of the war. Thirdly, the whole world recognizes that our state is doing its best to stop shells, find a diplomatic solution, and that we are more interested in achieving peace. Ukraine's support from partners is very high, now it is necessary to envelope in increasing pressure on Russia, which should stop escalating and start conducting constructive dialogue, leaving its imperial ambitions and revisionist approach to foreign policy."
