Repeat offender arrested in western Georgia for large-scale drug trafficking

Police in Georgia’s Imereti region have arrested a 39-year-old man, identified as P.Q., who has multiple prior convictions, on charges of large-scale drug trafficking.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), officers from the Baghdati and Terjola district divisions of the Imereti Police Department detained the suspect on narcotics-related charges.
During a personal search, police seized as evidence 27 packages of the synthetic drug “Alpha-PVP”, prepared for sale in particularly large quantities. Additionally, four more packages of the same drug were recovered from various locations identified by the suspect.
In total, law enforcement officers confiscated 31 packages of the narcotic substance.
The crime is punishable by up to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment under Georgian law.
