The decision of the Polish Constitutional Court to tighten the abortion ban has been published and will enter into force.

The press service of the Polish government announced this today, DW reports.

Various women's rights movements have already announced protests in Warsaw under the Constitutional Court, as well as in other Polish cities.

In October, the Polish Constitutional Court banned abortions in the country due to fetal development problems. Women are only allowed to terminate pregnancies on grounds of rape, incest, or health risks to the mother.

The decision of the judges caused outrage from the public.
