In Ukraine, since the beginning of the pandemic, 1,360 people have recorded a second COVID-19 disease. At the same time, the Ministry of Health does not have data on whether the cause of repeated infections was the same strain of the virus or a new one.

Director General of the Center for Public Health of Ukraine Roman Rodyna stated this during a press conference.

According to him, such data were provided by regional laboratory centers.

"We collected information about people who had been ill once and were entered into the electronic surveillance system as recovered, and then after a while they were again diagnosed with COVID-19. As of the day before yesterday, that is, on the 16th, there are 1360 people," – said Rodyna.

He added that if a person has been ill with COVID, then there is no guarantee that he will not get sick again.
