Interior minister, 17 others killed in Ukraine helicopter crash

Eighteen individuals, including the Ukrainian interior minister Denys Monastyrskyy, other officials and three children, have been killed in a helicopter crash in the city of Brovary, outside Kyiv, on Wednesday, near a local kindergarten. 

His first deputy Yevhen Yenin and the ministry’s State Secretary Yuriy Lubkovych were also among the dead. 

The deadly incident saw 29 victims injured, including 15 children. 

Officials gave no immediate account of the cause of the crash, an investigation is underway.
