The Georgian Interior Ministry on Friday rejected media reports over the entry of Anna Lakoba, currently serving in the Russian army, to the county.

The body stressed the citizen of Ukraine Ganna ILYasova, known to the public as Anna Lakoba, entered and left the country only in 2018 and by that time she had not violated the law on the Georgian occupied territories.

Georgian opposition-minded channels claimed on Thursday Lakoba was in Georgia and was posting photos on her Tik Tok account from Tbilisi sites, claiming the individual had earlier visited Georgia’s Russian-controlled regions without the consent of the central Georgian Government and thus violated the law on the occupied territories.

The media outlets also claimed domestic law enforcement agencies had shown “no interest” over her alleged presence in the country.
