The meeting focused on ongoing and future areas of bilateral defense cooperation between Georgia and France

Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Irakli Chikovani held an introductory meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of France to Georgia,Olivier Courteaud.

Chikovani congratulated the Ambassador on the start of his diplomatic mission and wished him success in his work in Georgia.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the meeting focused on ongoing and future areas of bilateral defense cooperation between Georgia and France. The Minister expressed appreciation for France’s steadfast support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The meeting was also attended by First Deputy Minister of Defense Paata Patiashvili and France’s Defense Attaché, Commander Philippe Grussenmeyer.
