Georgia’s Minister of Defence, Irakli Chikovani, on Tuesday participated in the 31st meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group, held in Brussels within the Ramstein format.
The Ministry said the high-level session took place at NATO Headquarters and was co-hosted by German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius and UK Secretary of State for Defence John Healey. The meeting brought together defence ministers and senior officials from NATO member and partner countries.
Participants reviewed the current situation in Ukraine amid Russia’s ongoing war and discussed the country’s pressing military assistance needs.
The Ramstein format was established in April 2022 at the initiative of the United States to coordinate international military support for Ukraine. Since February 13, 2025, the group has been jointly coordinated by the United Kingdom and Germany.
