The candidate for the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili called the statements by the head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Lithuanian Parliament Zhigimantas Pavilionis completely unacceptable and outrageous.

“The statements of the chairman of one of the parliamentary committees of one of our friend countries, a person associated with the National Movement, are absolutely unacceptable and outrageous for a sovereign, self-respecting country. I call on this man and his friends from our destructive opposition to put an end to such unacceptable statements as soon as possible. We are a hospitable country, but the insults of such guests are completely unacceptable, and his statements mean nothing to our team, the government.

I will remind this person and everyone that our team was elected by our people, people supported us and expressed their confidence, giving us a third mandate to continue to govern the country. Accordingly, no one has the right to call on us with incomprehensible, unfair statements. I could not ignore this unacceptable fact without emotion,” – said Irakli Garibashvili.

The chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Lithuanian Seimas Zhigimantas Pavilionis, who was on a visit to Georgia, said: “Georgia has not learned this lesson. You have already lost territories, do you want to lose the future? If you do not unite, you will have to pay a high price,”, – Pavilionis said.
