They claimed that Russian law was to be passed. This, of course, gave rise to a lot of questions. It was augmented by statements that can be deemed as motivating messages from our foreign partners, colleagues and ambassadors, which confused a certain part of our society. It was stated by Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia during his studio interview aired on Imedi TV.

As the Head of Government of Georgia noted, it all demonstrated a very coordinated flow of action and performance.

“As for the process and its flow, we voted for two draft laws. Two versions were offered for voting. There were two options, i.e. one was an American model translated and copied into Georgian. We said that we wanted to pass the one, which was exactly identical to the US model. Second version was Georgian, which was thoroughly conceptualized from the outset. It was labeled as a Russian version. You are aware that we – Georgians – are very sensitive towards such threats against the background of the Russian occupation and they claimed that Russian law was to be passed. This, of course, gave rise to a lot of questions. It was augmented by statements that can be deemed as motivating messages from our foreign partners, colleagues and ambassadors, which confused a certain part of our society. It all demonstrated a very coordinated flow of action and performance” concluded Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia.
