Georgia and Armenia will jointly host the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2029, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has announced.

Speaking at a government meeting on Friday, Kobakhidze described the tournament as a highly prestigious international sporting event.

He said Georgia was fully prepared to host the competition at the highest level alongside neighbouring Armenia.
